The mummy case above started out as two pieces of styrofoam (polystyrene) which were formed and then covered with layers of the putty and glass beads. It looks much better than the picture shows.

 

Above shows the cheapy plastic coin penetration ( Nails Through Coin) dressed up in Epoxy Garb. It is shown closed in the middle photo. The nails have been thrown away and replaced with Toledo Steel cocktail swords. The work on the box has dramatically changed an 'off the rack' piece of magic into a very effective bizarre piece. The octagonal shaped coin helps also.

My version of 'Skull Location'. The skull has been altered with the epoxy putty, painted bone color and aged with a bit of furniture polish & elbow grease.
