I first met Charles Cameron at a magic convention in Perth, Scotland, when a mutual friend pointed him out to me.  I had been literally devouring his books on Bizarre magick at this point and was ( and still am) an avid fan. I remember being quite shocked at having the chance to meet 'THE GODFATHER'.

I spent perhaps five minutes in his company and then he moved on to meet other people. I had explained to him that I had tried to purchase the complete file of 'THE CAULDRON' from a magical dealer, alas I was just too late and the collection had been snapped up by someone else. He had asked for my address and promised to be in touch. However being the cynical person that I am, I did not expect to hear from him again.

Within one week of meeting Charles for the first time, a complete file of the original, and now priceless 'CAULDRON' was delivered to my door. For several years letters passed between us at an alarming rate, I still have everyone of them carefully filed and in immaculate condition. Rightly so for looking through those letters it was obvious that Charles had taken me under his wing (although I have no idea why.

Not long after, Charles invited me along to his home in Haddington where I also met his lovely wife, Nan. .We had a tremendous weekend, and I will never forget the sheer delight of visiting 'THE MASTER' at his home. He and Nan made me feel extremely welcome.

Time has moved on of course and life changes. Charles now lives in Edinburgh with Alex (the Queen of Hearts). I have met up with them now on several occasions (as have many other people) it appears that they thrive on entertaining visitors. Their hospitality knows no limits.

To try to capture Charles Cameron 'the man' in a few words is not easy. He is one of the most talented, charming, pleasant, knowledgeable, extremely sociable individuals that I know. A person who can mix with most people, no matter what their background may be. He is very honest with strong ideals, and although willing to listen with interest to the views of others, is certainly more than capable of putting his own point across when necessary.

Charles Cameron is generosity itself. My respect for him has no bounds. For me he has gone from literary inspiration to personal friend, and mentor. I owe him a tremendous debt, which I doubt I can ever repay.

If these words still do not relay the tremendous impact Charles has had on my life, allow me to try to demonstrate it further. Through his writings and his friendship he has been the inspiration for my own SPOOK SHOW, THE PSYCHIC EXPERIENCE SHOW, I even tried to emulate his 'CASTLE DRACULA' with the help of two other close friends namely Harry Gallacher and Ewen Wilson titled 'NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE'.

Today I spend more and more time working with Palmistry and Tarot Cards (this is now a semi-professional occupation for me,  and who do you think nurtured and encouraged that interest, none other than Charles Cameron. Charles, your simply the best.
