MARY TOMICH.
I had the honour of meeting Charles Cameron at an Invocational in Chicago in the 1980’s. I was relatively new to bbizarre magic and was impressed with his contributions to the field. He had been at the forefront of the genre before it really had a name or a significant following. Our paths did not cross again until the first Convocation convention in Blackpool, England in 1998. It was during this time that I was able to spend some time with the venerable Mr.Cameron. He entertained me and others with his wonderful stories of halcyon days of bizarre magic, Tony andruzzi and Castle Dracula. What a wonderful time it was. I have seen him several times since then, including seeing him perform at the 1999 Convocation. I am honoured to have made his acquaintance. He blazed the trail….we are lucky to follow. |
