Tom Crecelus,
a.k.a. Merlin the Magician.
Residing in Milltown, Indiana, U.S.A., Tom Crecelus
was born three minutes before midnight on Christmas night, 1949. His
interest in magic started when he was 9 or 10. At this young age he had
the "Sneaky Pete" magic show which he performed for family
members.
He has three degrees from Indiana University (two batchelor and one Master's), was among the very last people to be drafted into the US Army and spent two years in a nuclear missile unit in Germany. Hobbies include;- pottery and painting (stoneware, porcelain and watercolor painitngs), continuing to do Tae Kwon Do which he started in 1972 and is currently a 5th Dan black belt (with the traditional Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan Association) and holds the title 'Master' in this art. He has now retired from teaching art in School and spends his time doing what he loves most.......Magic (along with his wife who portrays Nimue, Merlin's wife). He became keenly interested in Bizarre/Storytelling magic in 1996. He has performed as "The Astounding Thomas, Colonial Conjurer" for a colonial re-enactment group, as Merlin (with Nimue) at Ravenwood Castle during their Renaissance and Celtic Fairs as well as various other Renaissance festivals. He has recently been involved in developing interactive tables, tables with unique one of a kind art work, tables with Celtic and Renaissance themes, lighted wooden wizard's wands and other items useful to the mages of the world. |
