Robin DeWitt, a.k.a. Kardor is in the archive of performers of Bizarre Magic at Dragonskull.

" I was but a wee lad when my Father taught me my first magic tricks. The first was a ring off a string thing. Very low tech, with everything done under a neckerchief (I was a farm boy, we didn't have hankies). The second was a card trick that my dad averred that he had invented. It was only after I matured and had gotten more "schooled" in Magic that I found that my Father has seemingly "invented" Mutus-Nomen-Dedit-Cocis. Only he used, Allas-Thigh-Goose-&Bible. Well he was Irish.

In 1943 or thereabouts, my Uncle Don bought me my first set of Buddha Papers. No mean feat as this was during W.W.II and those things were not usually available especially in rural California. After the war I got my first Mysto Magic Set. Again my Uncle Don was instrumental in this also. I loved my Uncle Don.

Around my fourteenth birthday I discovered that girls were more than just soft boys and, Phfft, there went Magic.

Cut to the early seventies. I was contemplating one day that I had no real hobbies, remembered magic, found a magic store, bought a Svengali Deck, a Royal Cups and Balls, and the die was cast.

Shortly after that, I experienced E.Raymond Carlyle in a lecture on Mentalism and it has been up and down hill from then on.

Kardor was born in 1980 at a local ring contest. Kardor won his first award, the Caryl Fleming Comedy Award. I joined the PEA shortly after that and debuted the Compleat Kardor at a convention in Northern California. It was there that I met Tony Andruzzi, who really got me going in Bizarre Magic. (BTW, it was at this conclave that Demon Dirt was conceived, it was a long pregnancy)

Kardor owes a great debt to many people who have truly made him what he is today. Chief among these is Bob Haines. Bob wrote many routines for Kardor. It is a fact that without Bob Haines there probably would not be a Kardor. Maybe...but he wouldn't be nearly as funny.

Along the way, Kardor has acquired several other awards. From the PEA he was awarded the Mark Macy Award. Appearing on every Weerd Weekend and all but one of the Invocationals garnered the Tony Andruzzi Memorial Plaque. I am truly blessed. Kardor has been very good to me."

"On November 15, 2003 I was privileged to have the honor to be the Honored Guest of the Inner Circle Of Bizarre Magick's Gathering. At which time I humbly accepted the Richard "Lionheart" Knierim Memorial Award. I continue to be blessed."
