MALAK
a.k.a. Daniel GreenWolf
Daniel was born in Waterbury, CT in 1985. He has been
involved with Magic since he was 10 years old. He started after seeing a
performance of Jeff McBride's on World's Greatest Magic 2 in 1995. After
that, he started studying everything magical he could get his grubby
little paws on. And bizarre magic was always a love of Daniel's because
he thought it was the most natural form of magic to do.
In 1997, he came across the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #59, which is where he met Joe Lantiere, who saw Daniel's interests and background (and disgustingly pun-filled sense of humor, much like Joe's) and pointed him towards the Inner Circle of Bizarre Magick which is where he came under the tutiledge of those such as Joe Cabral, Dave Mousch, Gil Earl, Vlad, Dave Birtwell, and many others including Joe Lantiere, who Daniel sees as his prominate mentor to this day. In 2002, they brought him in as an initiate of the Inner Circle. Then, in 2002, Daniel was turned on to the Society of American
Magicians Assembly #29 and in April 2003, he joined. But don't worry..
it gets worse. He's also performed his combination of Irish Storytelling, Singing, and magic for The Park City Renaissance Faire, the Festival of the Lion Renaissance Faire and, with his partner Mysti la Fae, were one of the headlining acts at the Prospect Renaissance Faire in 2002. Along with this, Daniel has attended Tannen's Magic Camp since 1999 and has performed bizarre pieces for competition. In 2002, he won 4th place for the Senior Stage competition and the prestigious Mario J. Gonzales "Camper of the Year" award. He has also been awarded for his vocal ability, his poetic ability, his dramatic achievements and his creativity in several different venues. (He even won 2 medals for Irish step-dancing... no, really!) As an Actor, Daniel has performed in "A Christmas Carol", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Grease", "Footloose", "A MidSummer Night's Dream", and had the honor of played the first Red-haired Ponytailed Daddy Warbucks in a production of "Annie", which also met with great reviews. After a suggestion from his mentor, Malak GreenWolf became two characters, Daniel GreenWolf for his more commercial venues and MALAK for his bizarre performances and has performed with the S.A.M. Assembly 29 and Park City Renaissance Faire under that name. Daniel has even had several students come under his wing and learn what he has seen in his short life. Metaphysically speaking, Daniel has been Wiccan for his whole life. His parents, Dave & Judy Miron, have been Wiccan for over 25 years, his father being a priest from the Church of Wicca and his mother going for a doctorate in Holistic Health on top of being an R.N. for over 20 years. Both parents are also Reiki Masters. He is a member of the Connecticut Wiccan & Pagan Network, and is associated with the Pagan Community Church and Blessed Beat along with being partial owner of Crystal Wand Holistic Care & The Magick Circle, a store in Waterbury, CT that deals in Massage Therapy, Holistic Healing and Wiccan / Pagan supplies in which Daniel does Tarot readings along with hosting his own regular evening show "DraĆocht" in which 13 people are participants in full 2 hour show done inches away from them with three performers at the helm.
