Loraine Jones,
a.k.a. Cadavora.

"My roots in magic come from watching magic on television and enjoying live magical performances and then wishing I could mimic them myself. I am self taught from books and videos and later from many patient tutors who took me under their wings.

I performed card magic in bars and tarot readings at parties but all this ended with the responsibilities of motherhood.  I also perform an annual magic act for our Halloween party under the moniker of Whodina the Magnificent which started out originally being "mundane" magic then more mentalism was added and then more and more macabre themes crept into my act to keep with the spirit of things.  In these earlier years I did know I was evolving into a "Bizarre" magicienne as I was not familiar with the term or concept.  This lack of awareness ended when I attended the Halloween Sorcerer's Observance convention many many moons ago where I met many of the "giants" of Bizarre and was totally inspired.

My interests also include séance performance as each of our Halloween parties concluded with a séance that incorporated many magic effects to frighten and amaze the most unbelieving.  I was also the very first and only member of our local S.A.M. Assembly #255 to perform a Bizarre effect for a Stage Magic Competition, sadly I did not win as I went over the time limit. To the best of my knowledge, no one has done such since.  I was introduced there as Cadavora, the Mistress of Doom and the name stuck.  When things finally slow down here a little, I plan to resume my Bizarre activities on a commercial level."
