Dragonskull has Jeff McBride in the archive of Who's Who in bizarre and storytelling magic.

Jeff McBride

Jeff McBride was born in upper New York State, USA on September 11th. 1959 and has been a professional performer of stage magic, Illusions and Close - Up magic from his early teens.

His acts include Mime, Martial Arts & Kabuki and he is famously known for, among other things,  his 'Masks' act and his sleight of hand & manipulation performances.

All his performances are a delight to watch and have earned him countless top rate reviews in various National Press reports:- New York Times..."a mesmerizing performance drawn from images of mythology, a magic show that is at once a celebration of mystery and a struggle to understand powerful forces", in London the Times Newspaper called Jeff..."a conjuror of genius", The China Post (of Taiwan)..."McBride will fire the imagination of viewers", The Philadelphia Inquirer proclaimed..."McBride earned a reputation for delivering a tour de force magic show that, as an opening act was almost impossible to follow" and that after eleven years "McBride is still the best magician ever to play Atlantic City", The New York Post called Jeff..."an extra ordinary magician who presents a fully developed, gracefully flowing hour of spectacular illusions, visual effects and dance movement tied together with a fascinating plot line". And so the reviews still continue and are equally balanced with ones in magic magazines and publications.

Jeff has seriously studied the art of conjuring and also delved deeply into classical techniques of traditional magic around the world. In the 1990's he dreamt of holding a different kind of magic convention, one that would be aimed at individual reflection and growth. The dream became a reality when he started his 'Mystery School' convention - a time and place for other magicians to come and reflect upon their own magical work. These conventions ran for many years and were just one of the ways Jeff found he could give back something to the magical art he loves. Although 'Mystery School' is no more, Jeff works tirelessly to elevate his craft by lecturing to magicians all over the world.
