Eiann Black
| Ian has been an entertainer as long as he can remember
taking up piano at age 6 and providing music for strict time ballroom dancing at age
12. Later becoming involved in many rock bands playing bass and
keyboards. His father who was a drummer, singer and clown/magician stimulated his interest in magic when at the age of three he saw his first show involving magic performed by his father. This interest lay dormant for years as the music took centre stage but eventually the bug bit and it has now become an obsession. He has done some acting also and has appeared on stage at the Belgrade Theatre Coventry (UK) with the famous comedy opera duo Hinge and Brackett. Beginning as most people do with 'ordinary' magic he very swiftly became enamored with bizarre and wanted his magic to be more thatrical than just standing at a table and saying 'watch this card trick'. He now performs his magick as Eiainn Black and also with his daughter Gemma as bizarre duo Black and Gold with their act 'Illusions From The Crypt'. They have a signature effect called 'Black Roulette'. They became winners of the Coventry Magic Circle's Stage Entertainer of the Year 2004 with their club act.
