Ed Solomon was an music educator for thirty five years, a professional musician for fifty five years and a published composer, arranger and author. He has been a devote of the magical arts for over sixty years (He started very young). His primary interest in the Magical Arts is in the area of Story Telling. Oh, he did his share of kiddy shows and paid his dues as a semi-pro in his early days but now as a "mellow OLD fellow", his interests lie in the Bizarre and the presentation of stories that captivate some and nauseate others. He has an rabid interest in mentalism but in more a sentimentalist than magician. The selection of stories and the blending of magical emphasis might be his true forte. He is currently involved with the preparation of a set of books entitled the Chronicles of DeNomolos . To date he has published fine tomes entitled, Egyptian Magic, Strange Offerings, Sound FX, Something Strange Within and The Backdoor Key Of Solomon (an interactive CD book), details of all these can be found in the BOOKS section of this site. More books are in the preparation stage and are to be released soon. In August 2004, the Linking Ring (magazine for members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians) started to include a regular monthly column written by Ed Solomon/DeNomolos which looks like being an inclusion in the magazine for quite some time. A collector of oddities, Solomon is always looking for "just the right box or just the proper bottle" to antique or decorate for his material interests. His one of a kind props are like chess pieces in his game of the enchanted tale. A regular contributor to the Shadow Digest, Solomon shares with pride, a place in Bizarre Magick. In 2008, he was the guest of honour at the Inner Circle of Bizarre Magic Gathering. In 2009, Chris Walden was hosting and broadcasting his weekly The Shadow Hour radio programs and we are so lucky that he devoted one of these programs to an interview with Ed (on 9th July). Start the player below to hear the program which runs for 1 hour 33 minutes.
