At eighteen he traveled with a touring clown show, worked in the big top and toured around carnivals, fair grounds etc. performing as the German ringmaster ‘Herr Dinglebust’. He also worked conjuring routines between the acts.

He met Charles W. Cameron in 1991 and they very quickly became close friends. Charles encouraged his interest in all things magical, especially the Bizarre side of things. David became well known in parts of Britain as a performer of Bizarre magic and he, along with several friends, had their own spook show’. As David had always been keenly interested in the supernatural and paranormal etc this just seemed and felt a natural way to go towards.

Through Charles, he started to delve deeply into psychic subjects and Charles naturally helped and encouraged these studies, in particular those concerning Tarot cards and palmistry etc. David’s magical activities began to take a back seat as he began to do more and more private ‘readings’ and he also became very well known on the psychic fairs circuit. Nowadays he is a professional in what he does and owes so much to his mentor, Charles W. Cameron.

In 2001, David set up his own pro performer business, David Lees Enterprises. Through his past experiences, he is able to provide a diverse and varied range of entertainment (whatever the client wants). This ranges from Children's shows (magic or bizarre, youngsters to teens), lecturing to magicians, readings (psychic parties, one to one or over the telephone) etc.

Also in 2001, David finally released his book, The Leath Technique, which has received many wonderful reviews.
