| Probably one of the
most elegant bits for ambiance is the use of candlelight. Included with
this lesson are pictures of a variety of candlesticks and holders, which
have become essential elements in my own storytelling. Candlelight and
wine have always been thought of as being romantic in the proper
setting. Candlelight and brandy by an open fire can be most mysterious.
If you have not seen Larry White's self-extinguishing candle you have missed a beautiful prop with unlimited possibilities. There are any number of candle subtleties that have been written up in Séance Magazine for example. There was a lengthy discussion on the digest about candle magic if you saved your digest to disk. Included in the pictures for this lesson are some oil lamps, as well as candles. I would invite you to browse through these at you leisure and I'm sure you will gain an appreciation for this very special bit of ambiance. In the Craft,
