One roll of self adhesive suede cloth material covered the self opening book as well as the two shown below for $5.00 U.S.

The pewter corners were found in a scrapbook store. They also are self adhesive and really stick well. A set of four was $3.00 U.S. The spine pewter pieces were packaged two to a package, and they were the same price.

The Golden Bough. A paper back with a new hard cover.

The pewter spine protector.

An antique music book.

A tape recorder inside the book, used in a close-up situation to provide background music.

For less than $5.00 U.S. each, these are treasures beyond measure. As props for storytelling, they are priceless. Prop building can be a lot of fun and gives a certain satisfaction to performing with things that you have put yourself into.
