Bill LeBlanc,
a.k.a. Brother William.
| Residing in the Boston area of U.S.A., Bill, got started in magic in the late fifties, did a
number of garage shows and neighborhood birthday parties...in 1966 Bill took
off with a traveling side show, it was a Midget & Magic Show
and the price was
twenty five cents a head ! This lasted for two seasons, Bill then took a course
in clowning & worked the birthday circuit through agents, and also
landed the "Willie MaGoo" position for the
MaMagoo's Sandwich
Shops.
Going forward through the eighties Bill was introduced to "The Invocation" a bizarre publication. At this point Bill's magic started to take on a more Magickal shift with story telling MagicK, and Bill was at this time starting to read authors like Eugene Burger and later Brother Shadow's booklets. LeBlanc began to understand what performers like Jeff McBride were about ! Lately Bill has joined the ranks of other Bizarrists by signing onto the Shadow Digest and joining Salem's Lott & The Inner Circle of Bizarre MagicK. LeBlanc's Bizarre character is Brother William a defrocked monk...hmmm seems at home in the Boston area. |
