Bruce Gordon Barnett was born in Augusta, Maine USA in
1951 and is a Computer Scientist at the world's largest research
facility. He started in magic at the age of 6 and received Tarbell
# 1 as a gift at the age of 14.
He has been a semi-pro in close-up, mentalism and bizarre since the age of 21. His magazine routines have appeared in Chronicles, New Invocation, Magick, New Directions, Arcanum, Altar Flame, Smoke and Mirrors, Vibrations, M-U-M, Pegasus, and Crypts Quarterly Crier. Two of these magazines featured his routines : M-U-M, January 2000 and the Altar Flame, Vol.4, Number 1. Bruce is a member of IBM (Order of Merlin), SAM, and PEA. He has a monthly column in Vibrations called "From the Right Brain". Among his many achievements, Bruce won the Bascom Jones award from the Psychic Entertainers Association in 1997. Also, he won a creativity award in New Directions for the best solution to Jay Sankey's Bugs Bunny Baseball. In 1991, Bruce started a mailing list for magicians. On February
