Bruce Gordon Barnett.

Bruce Gordon Barnett was born in Augusta, Maine USA in 1951 and is a Computer Scientist at the world's largest research facility. He started in magic at the age of 6  and received Tarbell # 1 as a gift at the age of 14.

He has been a semi-pro in close-up, mentalism and bizarre since the age of 21. His magazine routines have appeared in Chronicles, New Invocation, Magick, New Directions, Arcanum, Altar Flame, Smoke and Mirrors, Vibrations, M-U-M, Pegasus, and Crypts Quarterly Crier. Two of these magazines featured his routines : M-U-M, January 2000 and the Altar Flame, Vol.4, Number 1.

Bruce is a member of IBM (Order of Merlin), SAM, and PEA. He has a monthly column in Vibrations called "From the Right Brain".

Among his many achievements, Bruce won the Bascom Jones award from the Psychic Entertainers Association in 1997. Also, he won a creativity award in New Directions for the best solution to Jay Sankey's Bugs Bunny Baseball.

In 1991, Bruce started a mailing list for magicians. On February 13th,
1992, he converted it to digest format and named it the Electronic
Grymoire, where he is the moderator. In 1996,  along with Brother Shadow, he started the electronic version of the Shadow Digest, and then the PEA Digest in the December of that year. The server is located in his home - a 150-year-old farm house in upstate New York. With running all three mailing lists, Bruce helps thousands of performers and entertainers, from around the world, to communicate with others of similar interests: Magic, Mentalism, and Bizarre.
